How is life on the inside of a Koenigsegg Regera?
In Swedish, “Regera” translates as “to reign” – and the Regera is a car fit for royalty.
The hypercar was introduced in a limited run of just 80 units – and the handcrafted nature reflects that.
On the inside, you will find eight way, electrically adjusted memory foam seats.
Koenigsegg’s grand touring hypercar also comes with added insulation.
Within the center console, the marque offers its own-brand infotainment system.
Also included with the system is 4G and WiFi connectivity, as well as Apple CarPlay.
Of course, it wouldn’t be Koenigsegg if it didn’t come with an ambient lighting system.
And, of course, there are also parking sensors – because no one wants to smash their hypercar, right?
What about the design of the exterior?
Naturally, coming from Koenigsegg, the Regera more closely resembles a fighter jet on wheels.
And that’s partly because it was very much crafted with aerodynamics in mind.
Outside of the crafting of the hypercar, the marque’s luxurious offering comes with a very cool touch.
In fact, it’s the first car in the world in which all the body parts operate automatically.
This system, called ‘Autoskin’, is operated at the touch of a single button.
Interestingly, the maker used 3D printing to manufacture many of the hypercar’s parts.
The technique allows the marque to better tune airflow through the turbochargers.
The company also introduced Project Holodeck, a virtual reality environment.
This project, in collaboration with NVIDIA, allowed customers to experience the Regera in 3D.
It also meant that engineers could collaborate on designs in real-time.
How well does the Regera perform on the road?
To put it briefly – extremely well, as it happens.
The Regera came with a twin-turbocharged, 5.0 liter V8 engine.
It also happened to be flanked by three electric motors – making 697HP on their own.
In total, this powerhouse produces over 1,500HP
And the performance fun is only just beginning, we promise.
For example, the it’ll absolutely fly from 0-60 in 2.8 seconds.
The hypercar also has a top speed of 255MPH, but it is electronically limited.
Koenigsegg‘s car will also accelerate from a standing start to 248MPH in just 20 seconds.
NASA might have a four-wheeled rival firmly on its hands.
And there we have it – that has been your one-stop tour of all things Koenigsegg Regera. The post Everything you need to know about the Koenigsegg Regera appeared first on Supercar Blondie.
