Florida man reveals cost and wait time to replace battery in his $3.5M pink Bugatti Chiron

An American man from Florida says the battery replacement for his Bugatti Chiron supercar was not only costly, but it had to be flown in from France.

Alex Gonzalez, who founded Swing Trading Lab, loves fast cars and has a Baby Pink Bugatti Chiron to prove it.

However, the car’s battery recently died, and he had to source a replacement.

And, due to the exclusivity of Bugattis and their engines, it couldn’t be sourced from his local auto repair shop.

With the new battery needing to be flown in all the way from France, it left Gonzalez unable to drive his Bugatti for three weeks.

It wouldn’t be a cheap endeavor either, with a replacement battery costing $36,000.

To most people, that’s around what they would pay for a car.

Yet for Gonzalez, it was the price it cost to keep his Bugatti on the road.

Gonzalez has an estimated net worth of around $50 million, so he didn’t have any issue affording it.

Gonzalez is a huge lover of cars, and the pink Bugatti Chiron isn’t the only vehicle in his collection.

He also isn’t afraid to flex some crazy colors, hence the pink on the Chiron.

Gonzalez has posted about his cars before, from a Porsche 911 to a Lamborghini Urus.

His collection is worth at least $3 million.

Gonzalez used to work at Dunkin’ Donuts.

But he is now a self-made millionaire, and says he is the youngest in the United States.

The young Floridian, however, isn’t the only one highlighting how expensive Bugattis can be.

Real estate mogul and millionaire Manny Khoshbin recently took delivery of his epic Bugatti Bolide.

Khoshbin revealed that the tires on the track-only car can last just 36 miles under racing conditions, and each set costs about $32,000.

So it would seem that anything Bugatti comes with a hefty price tag, be it the car, a battery, or the tires.

But considering the craftsmanship that goes into each Bugatti, is anyone surprised? The post Florida man reveals cost and wait time to replace battery in his $3.5M pink Bugatti Chiron appeared first on Supercar Blondie.
