Italian police officers have access to some pretty cool cars, including a Lamborghini Huracán.
It’s fun to drive, no doubt, but it’s also useful.
Not long ago, the police drove from one end of Italy to the other in record time for a medical emergency.
They couldn’t have done it without the Lambo.

How the Italian police pulled it off
A while back, the Polizia Stradale, Italy’s Highway Patrol, drove their Lamborghini Huracán at full speed for about 700KM – 435 miles – to deliver a kidney for a transplant.
They left Rome in the morning and reached Padua, about 700KM north of the capital, just three hours later.
The cops also managed to preserve the kidney because the car is equipped with a refrigeration unit designed for emergency organ deliveries.
Thanks to its 602HP, 5.2-liter V10, the Huracán has a top speed of 202MPH – or 325KMH, which is how they managed to deliver the kidney before it was too late.
Lamborghini: A nice perk that comes with the job
Law enforcement around the world has access to all kinds of fast and exotic cars.
Italian police forces, including the Carabinieri, have been using supercars for decades.
The police used to have a Gallardo and now they’ve got a Huracán and an Urus as well, while the Carabinieri used to have a Lotus Evora.
In Dubai, police use Bugattis, Astons, Ferraris, and they even added a modified Tesla Cybertruck to its fleet of cars.
Then we’ve got the Turkish police, with a supercar collection worth around $4 million, including cars like the Porsche Taycan, Ferrari 458, and Bentley Continental.
Miami PD deserves a special mention, however.
A few months ago, the Miami Police Department added a Rolls-Royce Ghost to their fleet because, and this is a quote from the police chief, the car ‘represents our dedication to recruiting the best and brightest individuals to serve our community’.
Since new recruits would never be allowed near the Rolls-Royce, kudos to Miami PD for their clever excuse to buy one for ‘recruitment purposes.’The post Italian police use Lamborghini to drive 435 miles in three hours for critical medical emergency appeared first on Supercar Blondie.
