A car enthusiast from Kansas bought seven Hellcats and a Bentley that had been stolen and found during a raid on a chop shop by cops.
The cars were recovered from an illegal chop shop by cops and ended up at a salvage yard via the district attorney.
In total, the owner of the salvage yard said he received ten vehicles.
The haul included complete cars and several Hellcat engines.

What was in the collection of stolen cars?
The cars were unearthed in a multi-million dollar chop shop operation and included a Dodge Durango Hellcat, a Hellcat Redeye Wide Body, a Chrysler 300, with a Hellcat engine, and a Dodge Magnum, as well as three car-less Hellcat engines.
Car lover Westen Champlin heard about the chop shop salvaged collection and was happy to part with the cash to get his hands on it.
While some folks may be daunted by taking on such an unusual haul of cars, not least because of their past, for Westen it was all part of the fun.
“The thing is obviously with these [engines], they’re all mystery boxes,” he said.
“You don’t know if they run or not, but that’s part of the fun.”
No surprise, given that this is the same man who put saw blades on a Corvette, and turned an abandoned cop car into a 1,000hp beast.
In a recent video on his YouTube channel, he snapped up the Hellcats and also talked the salvage yard owner into throwing in a Bentley into the deal.
All in all, he reckoned the cars and engines were worth around $300,000, but he paid just $50,000.
Westen branded it one of the ‘best deals’ he’d ever made and wasted no time in getting the Hellcats and Bentley up onto his trailer.
However, after hauling the cars back to his shop, Westen discovered that only one of the cars was running. Not ideal.
Aside from not running, the cars had other issues including broken windows, severed wires, and one was missing its interior.
Pretty much what you’d expect from a car that was rescued from a chop shop.
Undeterred, and to celebrate the one working Hellcat he did buy, Westen took it on a burnout.
Well, what else are you going to do?
What he plans to do with the rest of the cars remains to be seen, but we can bet it’s probably going to be interesting.
Hellcats are very special engines
Chrysler introduced its supercharged Hellcat in 2015, for the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat and the Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat.
It was the most powerful engine the marque had produced and the most powerful production engine ever in a muscle car, until the Dodge Demon came along.
Since the introduction of the Hellcat, we’ve seen several interesting uses of them, like the man who created this Hellcat minivan, or this guy who dropped one into a Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow.
