Koenigsegg demolishes Czinger’s hill climb record at Goodwood Festival of Speed

The Koenigsegg Jesko Attack-based Sadair’s Spear just smashed a Goodwood record previously held by Czinger.

That record lasted less than a year, but then again, as they say, records are made to be broken.

This new record might last a bit longer, though.

And there’s a very good reason why.

Koenigsegg absolutely smashed the old record

The Koenigsegg Jesko Attack-based Sadair’s Spear set a new Goodwood record by completing the iconic hill climb in just 47.14 seconds.

That’s over a second faster than the Czinger 21C, which did it in 48.83 seconds last year.

In everyday life, one second is almost nothing, but on a race track, a single second can be an eternity.

Most automakers are happy enough when they can beat previous records by fractions of a second.

So we can only imagine how Koenigsegg must feel, considering it beat the record by over a second.

This, crucially, also means it is going to be very difficult for anybody else to claim the record again.

About the Sadair’s Spear

The Sadair’s Spear is a street-legal hypercar based on the Jesko Attack.

It’s more powerful than the Jesko Attack – 1,625HP instead of 1,600 – and it’s also around 35kg lighter.

Which means that this extreme track-friendly hypercar is capable of producing almost one horsepower for every kilogram of its weight.

Named after the horse that the company’s founder’s father, Jesko, rode in his final race in 1976, this vehicle is limited to 30 units only.

The price wasn’t revealed, but it doesn’t matter anyway because all 30 units are already spoken for.
