Jack Massey Welsh racked up 111,600 Tesla credits – more than anyone else in the UK.
That’s what you get when over 300 people buy a Tesla using your referral link.
Credits like these can be swapped for accessories, merch, or Supercharging miles.
But when Jack finally cashed them in, Tesla slammed the brakes, and now he thinks he might’ve broken the system for everyone.

Why he thinks he broke the Tesla credit system
Jack spent all 111,600 credits on Tesla merch and accessories before they expired, buying everything from wheel kits and pet liners to Tesla hoodies and wall connectors.
Since there’s no basket feature, he had to place more than 50 individual orders – triggering 50+ emails and one very confused delivery driver.
He ended up with multiple wall chargers, roof racks for cars he doesn’t own, and a pile of Tesla jackets.
Many items, like the wall chargers, are worth hundreds of dollars, and he plans to donate the majority to charity.
Days later, Tesla cut off his referral link entirely.
He checked with other creators and found they were locked out too, leaving him wondering if his spree was the tipping point.
What can you get with Tesla credits?
Jack’s massive balance let him stack credits and spend them on just about anything from merch and gear to Supercharging miles.
Most of the fun items – like model cars and quirky gadgets – are now gone.
Much of the merch was also out of stock, and he said Tesla even removed items mid-spree while Jack was redeeming them.
He noted how dull the selection was now, compared to what was once on offer.
While he made the most of his final spree, Jack might’ve also exposed a flaw in Tesla’s system – nobody expected someone to actually use this many credits, especially not all at once.
Jack Massey Welsh’s Tesla haul might be legendary but if the referral perks are gone for good, you might just have him to thank.
