Popular YouTuber Jimmy ‘MrBeast’ Donaldson has just raced a Formula E car against a cheetah – and the end result was much closer than anticipated.
The cheetah is the fastest land animal in the world. In terms we understand, it’s capable of hitting up to 75mph and can hit 0-60mph in three seconds flat.
But can the beast keep up with MrBeast, behind the wheel of a race car?
Well, in a recent upload to his channel, the creator pitted a Formula E car against a cheetah.

Formula E car against a cheetah
The famed content creator is no stranger to fast cars, and specifically Formula E.
He recently ripped a Formula E car around a star-studded track event in Miami, where he was joined by Alex Hirschi – AKA Supercar Blondie.
But now, he’s come across one of the fastest beasts in the world: Milly the cheetah.
The Formula E vehicle, a GEN3 Evo is touted as one of the fastest cars in the world, and is 30 percent quicker than those seen in F1.
But could it beat Milly?
Having already obliterated a golf cart and a minivan in two separate races, the Formula E car versus a cheetah race was much more evenly poised.
As the checkered flag fell, both beasts bolted off the line in what appeared to be an even sprint.
But the car eventually motored into a higher top speed and crossed the line in a much quicker time.
Once Milly saw the rear lights, it looked like her mind went to raw meat treats rather than catching up.
The end result was more damning than it seemed, but the cheetah did lag behind despite its promising and close-call start.
The creator teamed with the American Humane Society to ensure that the cheetah (and other animals featured in the video) were treated well and bathed in affection and treats.
Back in 2017, Formula E itself ran the same race.
While MrBeast’s recreation saw the electric car shoot off into the distance, the original quarter-mile drag race was actually a close-cut contest.
The Cheetah was only beaten to the finishing line in the last moments.
Eight years on, though, the wickedly quick Formula E cars have clearly come on leaps and bounds.
Maybe MrBeast needs some extra laps in the Formula E car, having been passed by Supercar Blondie herself on the Miami Grand Prix circuit earlier this year – that’s one race he’s not winning any time soon.
MrBeast’s Race for Survival
All of this isn’t just for content, though, as MrBeast has partnered with the Race for Survival campaign to raise money for endangered big cats.
Donaldson is hoping to raise money to help create a ‘world in which cheetahs live and flourish in coexistence with people within a sustainable system that is protective of the environment’.
The creator has left a link for the Race for Survival donor box in collaboration with the Conservation Fund in the UK.
