The Highway surprised 22-year-old singer/songwriter Brandon Wisham this morning when host Cody Alan announced on-air that the channel was naming the rising country music talent as its latest “Highway Find.”
“I had a few things on my list to do today and being a ‘Highway Find’ wasn’t one I was expecting!” Brandon shared. “Thank you so much to The Highway family for believing in my music and making me feel at home. This is unbelievable. Thank you to everyone who has been listening on The Highway!”
Several times throughout the year, The Highway identifies a country artist it believes has the talent to make it big. It’s all part of The Highway channel’s ongoing commitment to spotlight great new country music talent. Being named a “Highway Find” is highly anticipated by country artists and fans alike and has brought early recognition to familiar country stars. With this announcement, Brandon joins previous “Highway Finds” such as Parker McCollum, Luke Combs, Gabby Barrett, Maren Morris, Dan + Shay, and Florida Georgia Line.
Brandon’s latest release, “Growin’ Up,” reflects on the whirlwind feeling of growing up in the blink of an eye. It follows his debut single, “Back Together,” and first feature on The Highway, “Better Than The Day.”
Brandon’s 2023 demo of “Pain Won’t Last” caught the attention of Bailey Zimmerman on TikTok, prompting a move to Nashville, where he ultimately joined Bailey on his RELIGIOUSLY. THE TOUR. in 2024. He also spent the past year on the road with Josh Ross and writing on Music Row. After a writing session with Tyler Hubbard, Brandon was invited on the road for select dates nationwide this summer, and he recently joined Chase Matthew for a show and will join fellow “Highway Find” Lakeview as support this fall.
