Vegas Tesla Model 3 owner shares tip that could save new Tesla buyers thousands of dollars

A Tesla Model 3 EV owner from Las Vegas has shared tips that he says could save Tesla owners lots of money.

YouTuber Vegas Tesla Family uploaded a video in November outlining 10 things he believed Tesla owners should know.

The tips he shared ranged from how to use systems like the car’s regenerative braking and climate control, to how to properly charge the car.

In the video, he claimed that one of the tips saved him $1,000.

The owner of the Model 3 discusses how best to look after the battery of an electric vehicle.

One way they showcased this was with how to charge the Tesla.

Tesla says you should only charge it up to 80 percent.

This was a statement he backed up, saying it helped to preserve the longevity of the battery.

One feature that the YouTuber was very happy with was Sentry Mode.

When enabled, this mode effectively gives the Model 3 a security camera that monitors the car and can record footage.

That includes when someone runs into the car and drives off.

The Model 3 owner said he had to deal with a situation like this himself, and Sentry Mode saved him a good chunk of money.

The YouTuber even showed the footage of when his Model 3 was driven into by someone reversing out of their driveway.

He urged drivers to use Sentry Mode if they were parking in a shared parking lot as it could save them thousands.

He also recommended using your phone to lock and unlock the car with the car’s app, saying it was the easiest way to gain access to your Tesla.

He said he hoped his tips would make owning a Tesla Model 3 a more enjoyable experience for other drivers.
