The first-ever C4 Corvette was recently found in an American garage, and it only had 277 miles on the clock.
YouTube channel WD Detailing was the one to make the discovery.
When the former owner bought the car, he took out a second mortgage to pay for it.
But unfortunately, the Corvette ended up sitting in a garage for years.

The Chevrolet C4 Corvette is an important sports car in the lineage of the historic car manufacturer.
As the fourth generation of the Corvette sports car, it was in production between 1983 and 1996.
So you can imagine what a big deal it’d be for the first one to be found in an American garage after 30 long years.
This isn’t the first time a Corvette had turned up in an unexpected place – a 1962 Corvette was found behind a fence in a Florida backyard.
Seven of them were even for sale on eBay over in Maryland.
But in the case of the Corvette found by WD Detailing, it was especially distinctive, being that it was the first C4.
When he paid a visit to the property, the YouTuber unfortunately didn’t get the chance to speak to the original owner, as he had passed away a few months before.
But from speaking to his widow, Peggy, he got the car’s backstory.
“[My husband] was a big Corvette person, a big car enthusiast,” Peggy said.
“Every Sunday, he would read the newspapers.
“He was either reading The Wall Street Journal or The LA Times, and he saw the advertisement for this 84 serial number one Corvette.
“He called and said ‘I want the car’. Sight unseen,” she explained.
Acquiring the car didn’t come without its…challenges.
Let’s just say, taking out a second mortgage to pay for a car took Peggy by surprise.
“[When I found out, he said] ‘Oh, it’ll be a good investment’,” she recalled.
“I was like ‘Okay’.
“He always said the car was an investment, but when the time came for him to want to try and sell it, then it was never sold.
“He didn’t try to sell it after that, we would take it around on a trailer and show it.
“That stopped because he got really sick, so it’s been sitting in the garage,” she went on.
It’d held up remarkably well over the years, but it was in need of a wash.
By the video’s end, it looks brand new and has a nice shine.
