As the new second-generation ‘AI-powered’ XPeng P7 is preparing for a huge launch, the 586hp electric sedan has been found to be hiding a giant 87-inch surprise up its sleeve.

Don’t let us tell you that size that matters.

But in the case of the XPeng P7 and its bulging interior design, it really is more about sheer prowess rather than the motion of the ocean.

Its 87-inch infotainment display is like nothing else on the market, and XPeng is waving it in your face. Literally.

New XPeng P7 comes packing with an incredible digital surprise

The Chinese manufacturer is really entering a class of its own in terms of luxury and affordability, as its new range of electric vehicles wouldn’t look out of place in supercar line-ups.

With a range of new cars coming out this year, including the G7 as a $27k Model Y competitor, it’s the sporty second-gen XPeng P7 that is grabbing a lot of outside attention.

As the XPeng P7 range has already impressed with its self-driving camera-based technology, the upcoming refreshed model is even better.

What’s particularly interesting is its interior.

The new front dashboard will see a huge 87-inch screen be the focal point of the car, and it will use augmented reality head-up tech that tilts to the driver’s eyeline.

This savvy piece of kit first debuted in the G7, but has now been added bigger and better than ever before to the smaller electric sedan to assist the driver in an immersive driving experience.

More than just a gizmo

The car is much more than its screen, though, even if it is one of the coolest pieces of tech that we’ve seen in a vehicle.

Bolstering the savvy infotainment system, the improved powertrain will punch up to 586HP in the all-wheel-drive version, and will be able to achieve an impressive 509 miles of range in the rear-wheel-drive model.

There, you can choose between power and precision.

The upcoming electric sedan is set to follow the trend of Chinese EVs and undercut Western prices, although a specific fee hasn’t been revealed yet.The post Xpeng’s new 586hp electric sedan hides a giant 87-inch surprise inside appeared first on Supercar Blondie.
