BMW says you’ll still be able to have fun before robots take over

BMW has just come out with some very good news for car fans everywhere – and it’s about automation and robots.

The German marque, it seems, has it has no desire to change its driving objectives.

This comes in the face of ever-growing attempts at driving automation.

So the desire for one of the world’s biggest companies to continue making fun cars is good news.

Has the art of fun in driving been lost?

For the past while, you will probably have seen various articles about the automation of driving.

Brands such as Tesla continue to push towards full automation for cars of the future.

In particular, Tesla continues to improve on its Full Self-Driving software.

And this has led to much despair and upset among pure driving enthusiasts.

Many are concerned that the art and enjoyment of driving is already being lost.

Thankfully, BMW has appeared to have allayed those fears.

Because the Bavarian brand remains intent on delivering the best driving experience.

BMW boss confirms that fun is here to stay

New Head of BMW Product Management, Bernd Körber, recently made some comments.

In a recent interview, he confirmed that the marque intends to preserve the ‘joy of driving.’

What’s equally interesting is that this approach applies to all BMW cars, M or otherwise.

Körber said that in a future dominated by automation, delivering the driving experience will be key.

Those comments were also echoed by Adrian van Hooydonk, Head of BMW Group Design.

“We want our customers to always be in control…we want them to decide when they want to drive,” he said.

To that end, the brand plans to introduce the ‘Heart Of Joy’ supercomputer system.

The control unit, slated for BMW’s electric division, will improve handling across the board.

The company remaining intent on driver experience is surely very welcome news for the car community.

In a world increasingly run by tech and automation and robots, human interaction could be more important than ever. The post BMW says you’ll still be able to have fun before robots take over appeared first on Supercar Blondie.
