BMW’s E24 gets a wild makeover in Osaka with Batmobile-inspired build

A BMW 635 CSi E24 has had a wild makeover in Osaka, Japan, turning the two-door sports car into a Batmobile-inspired beast.

The car was showcased by Dino DC on YouTube, who visited Osaka to and get video footage and photos of the BMW.

The car was built by Coutner Japan, and the coupe is the proud property of Watanabe-san, who is also the man behind the brand.

While it looks menacing, there’s also something quite subtle about it as it cruises through the streets of Osaka.

The BMW E24 now sports a very special bodykit

The E24 is now the recipient of an incredible-looking body kit.

It’s easy to see why some have compared the car to a Batmobile.

The first change we notice is the wheels – golden BBS Motorsport wheels look simply incredible.

Contrasting beautifully with the black paintwork is the gold of the wheels, but there is also the widebody kit.

New and wider wheel arches are a standout, giving the E24 extra bulk and muscle.

At the back, a huge rear wing towers over the car, giving it an even sportier aesthetic.

Part of the inspiration for the kit comes from the 1976 Group 6 BMW 3.0 CSL race car.

This won multiple touring car races in the late 1970s.

All of the body components are custom-made

No part of the body kit is off the shelf, with all parts of it custom-made by Watanabe-san and his company.

There are other changes too, such as a suspension kit by KW and a HLS lift system as well.

The BMW also has upgraded brakes, plus larger tires to accommodate the new wheels.

At the back, the exhaust setup caught the eye of the YouTuber, with custom parts made for it by Kakimoto.

Under the hood, the 3.5-liter straight-six engine has also had some work done.

But Watanabe-san has kept the original powertrain with just a few minor upgrades.

The engine is so original that it still has the dirt and grime of 30-40 years of use inside the BMW.

For fans of 1970s BMWs and touring car racing, this BMW is a real gem, and it’s a superb work of art.The post BMW’s E24 gets a wild makeover in Osaka with Batmobile-inspired build appeared first on Supercar Blondie.
