The computer mouse mogul Michel Perridon clicked his way into history with his $12 million Bugatti Brouillard hypercar masterpiece.

The 62-year-old Dutch entrepreneur made his fortune selling computer keyboards and mice, and is now behind the most expensive Bugatti hypercar ever made.

While computer technology is how he made his fortune, Perridon is a huge automotive fan, as shown through his collection and sponsorship deals in motorsport.

His $12 million Brouillard is the crowning achievement of his life’s work. Unsurprisingly, it’s a hypercar that the Dutch millionaire cherishes.

The Bugatti Brouillard is Perridon’s ultimate flex

The Bugatti Brouillard hypercar is not currently in Perridon’s collection, as it is nearing completion.

But he has ordered the one-off creation, based on the Bugatti Mistral, via the Programme Solitaire.

This is a programme dedicated to the unique customization of existing models.

It gives customers of the company exactly what they want.

Under the hood is a mighty 8.0-liter quad-turbocharged W16 engine producing 1,578hp.

The car remains true to Bugatti’s heritage.

It incorporates equestrian elements, which are a nod to founder Ettore Bugatti’s love of horses.

The hypercar takes its name from the Brouillard racehorse, which was Ettore’s favorite.

The Brouillard has become the first hypercar to be created through the new Programme Solitaire.

Not your ordinary high-powered hypercar

While it is based on the Mistral, there are plenty of differences between it and this one-off creation.

The Brouillard has a roof, whereas the Mistral does not.

Its new, fixed glass panel helps to create a much airier cabin than before.

The bodywork has been reshaped and redesigned, too, and it sports horizontal LED headlight elements and a new rear ducktail spoiler.

Finished in a striking shade of green, it is one of the most dramatic cars, along with the La Voiture Noire, that the company has ever produced.

Perhaps the coolest nod to Ettore’s love of horses is the glass insert of a miniature horse in the machined aluminum gear shifter.

For those who want to take a look at this incredible car, you’re in luck.

Perridon and the company are exhibiting the car at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering, which takes place in Carmel, California, in August.

No doubt the Brouillard will look just as good in person as it has in the photos. The post Computer mouse mogul Michel Perridon clicks into history with $12M Bugatti Brouillard hypercar masterpiece appeared first on Supercar Blondie.
