Dodge is pulling the plug on one of its most powerful electric cars, the Charger Daytona Scat Pack EV.
Once hailed as the future of American muscle, it will be officially discontinued after the 2025 model year.
While the company hasn’t directly addressed why it’s dumping the Scat Pack EV, slow sales is definitely a big reason.
In any case, for enthusiasts who are a fan of Dodge’s gas-powered vehicles, this might be a good thing.

The Charger Daytona Scat Pack EV was Dodge’s boldest attempt to bring its muscle car legacy into the electric era.
Built on the new STLA Large platform, it featured a dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup, cranking out 670 horsepower and 627 lb-ft of torque.
It was blisteringly fast, going 0-60 mph in around 3.3 seconds.
However, despite all the tech and power, the Scat Pack EV never quite clicked with traditional Dodge buyers.
In fact, thousands of new Dodge chargers were sitting unsold on dealer lots just last year.
Many traditional Dodge buyers prefer a gas-powered variant, given taking a road trip with an EV has proved to be an extremely stressful experience.
At a starting price north of $68,000, and with electric muscle cars still a niche market, sales fell short.
Even significant discounts on the Charger Daytona EV didn’t seem to move the needle.
A Dodge spokesperson confirmed that the entry-level Dayton R/T is also getting cut from the EV lineup.
The company is also reportedly going to launch a new four-door version of the Charger Daytona and focus more on the Hurricane-powered SIXPACK models.
While the Charger Daytona Scat Pack EV may have fizzled out, it was still significant as it showed that the carmaker was willing to push into new territory. The post Dodge will discontinue the Charger Daytona Scat Pack EV in 2026 appeared first on Supercar Blondie.
