The Honey Fitz is a prestigious ‘floating White House’ that was constructed in 1931 for Harry S. Truman and used by Dwight. D. Eisenhower, Lyndon. B. Johnson, Richard Nixon and most notably JFK.
In the JFK era, the president’s yacht went through a makeover and it had a distinctly Kennedian look with original furnishings based on Jackie Kennedy’s sketches.
The Honey Fitz was decommissioned in 1971 after serving five different presidents, and this iconic piece of American history is now available for chartering, perhaps for the most memorable Fourth of July party ever?

Well, with this historic wooden yacht, the Honey Fitz, that dream could become a reality, as – once it was decommissioned from serving all its presidents – it was restored ready for anyone to charter.
First built in 1931, the Honey Fitz has served Harry S. Truman, Dwight. D. Eisenhower, Lyndon. B. Johnson, Richard Nixon and most notably John F. Kennedy.
It was decommissioned in 1971 and restored ready for chartering, and you can see JFK’s fingerprints all over the interior design as it is distinctly Kennedian, with the original sketches by Jackie Kennedy inspiring the design too.
Each president used the yacht differently, but the restoration team decided to keep the yacht in JFK-era specifications with blue upholstery and white piping, a ship interior design classic.
You can host a classy dinner in a presidential dining room or sleep where Truman once slept, and you can take in the views from the aft deck in JFK’s favorite chair.
It is a truly iconic piece of American history and you can host a party like you are the President of the United States yourself.
