Tesla is offering a very enticing deal on its Model 3 in a move that could help boost sales as we head towards the end of the third quarter.
Since its 2017 release, the Model 3 has remained a popular choice.
So much so, it was the first electric car to sell more than a million units worldwide.
But it seems Tesla is keen to push sales ahead of the end of the third quarter.

Tesla is offering a new deal on the Model 3, but there’s a bit of a catch
It’s been a bit of a bumpy year for Tesla, with sales of the Cybertruck slumping to just 5,000 units per quarter.
In a bid to boost sales, the carmaker has offered some interesting deals, including free Full Self-Driving for new Cybertrucks and free unlimited Supercharging.
Its latest deal will offer either $5,000 off the price of a Model 3, or free Supercharging. Not bad, right?
Using the $5,000 off would bring the cost of a Tesla Model 3 RWD down to $49,900, a Model 3 LR AWD down to $56,990, and the Model 3 Performance to $64,990.
However, there’s a bit of a catch: the deal is only being offered in Canada, and delivery of the new EV must be made before September 30.
So, if you live in Canada and fancy taking advantage of the offer, don’t hang around.
The terms and conditions for the deal explain that the $5,000 comes off the total pre-tax purchase price.
The deal only applies to Model 3 vehicles in Tesla’s Canadian inventory, not custom orders, and will be automatically applied at the checkout.
Those who fancy the free Supercharging will need to let Tesla know after placing their order so the company can make the switch.
The EV maker also notes that the offer is tied to the owner’s Tesla account and can’t be transferred to another vehicle or person.
EVs in the US are set to become more expensive very soon
The Tesla deal in Canada comes as the price of EVs in America is set to get more expensive.
The federal EV tax credit ends on September 30, after which most new electric vehicles will effectively be $7,500 more expensive.
The $4,000 tax credit for purchasing a used EV will also come to an end.
With the tax credit coming to an end, EV sales in the US have seen a boost, with July being the second biggest month ever for electric vehicle sales in the States.
