The rarest Lamborghini in the world is the Lamborghini Egoista – only one was ever made.
When it was unveiled in 2013, the one-off wasn’t something the manufacturer was looking to sell.
Rumor has it, though, that the Egoista was eventually sold.
But what do we know about this elusive car?

Presenting the Lamborghini Egoista
We know a lot about the Lamborghini brand, and there’s a lot to love.
Whether teaming up with Sega for a Sonic the Hedgehog-themed supercar or being blessed by the late Pope Francis, these cars are always making headlines.
So when reports emerged that their rarest supercar had been sold – after it had appeared in the official museum – it’s no wonder that it got people talking.
The Egoista has a number of features that make it stand out.
Much like a fighter jet, it has a single seat cockpit, which is covered by a removable canopy.
The body is partially made from anti-radar materials, another similarity to military aircraft.
It’s like something right out of Top Gun.
And speaking of feeling the need for speed, this thing is powerful, too.
Powered by a 5.2-liter V10 engine, it’s capable of producing 600HP.
It can reach 60MPH in 2.4 seconds and tops out at 217MPH.
The rarest Lamborghini in the world
As you might expect for the world’s rarest Lambo, it reportedly went for a hefty price when sold to a private collector.
Let’s just say, the Italian manufacturer may have had 117 million reasons to sell it.
However, it’s not been confirmed outright that the car was sold – it’s just no longer on display at the Lamborghini Museum in Sant’Agata Bolognese, Italy.
The car was originally built for the company’s 50th anniversary, so the question would arise about why it had been withdrawn from the museum.
Whoever is in possession of this car now is one lucky driver.
But let’s be honest, they’ll have a hard time maintaining a low profile.
After all, if you’re driving a one-of-a-kind supercar that looks a little bit like a fighter jet, you’re going to stand out. The post The rarest Lamborghini in the world: the Lamborghini Egoista appeared first on Supercar Blondie.
