TikToker discovers the ‘secret’ Tesla tunnel under Las Vegas

A TikToker has just uncovered a ‘secret’ Tesla tunnel underneath the city of Las Vegas.

Well, when we say ‘secret’, we use that term slightly loosely.

Don’t worry, though – the Tesla tunnel is absolutely a very real thing.

But it is actually part of a much wider infrastructure network that runs through Sin City.

TikToker finds ‘secret’ tunnel full of Teslas

A TikTok video has been taking off and going viral over the last few days.

And the reason for it going so viral is that it directly concerns the car community.

The video, which already has almost 653k likes, comes to us from Las Vegas.

It shows a tunnel that appears to run directly beneath Sin City – and it is full of Tesla cars.

“Are you filming the road?” the TikTok user is directly asked.

“We don’t have this at home,” the user humorously replies.

‘Secret’ system is actually a massive project

So what exactly is the ‘secret’ Tesla tunnel that the TikToker managed to uncover?

Well, it turns out that it is not actually all that ‘secret’ – but it is still impressive.

The tunnel system that he stumbled onto is a phenomenon called the Vegas Loop.

In case you are unfamiliar with what this is, allow us to fill in the blanks for you.

To give the project its full name, it is the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC) loop.

It has been constructed by The Boring Company – the other company that Elon Musk owns.

The 2.2-mile-long route services the entire Las Vegas Convention Center using a fleet of Tesla cars.

It currently uses human-operated Model Y units to transport users throughout the tunnel.

With a maximum speed of 35mph, it is estimated that a journey across the system takes around two minutes.

Having first opened in 2021, the Tesla tunnel is still under development and construction.

The end goal is to reportedly connect all of the major hubs of Las Vegas into the system.

This includes the Allegiant Stadium, home of the Las Vegas Raiders, Harry Reid International Airport and other important areas.
