Sneak peeks of the new Xpeng P7 EV sedan are finally out, and it looks like it’s pure fire.

Chinese automaker Xpeng has released the first official images of the second-generation P7, showcasing its smooth and distinctive design that sets it apart from other electric vehicles on the market.

Drawing inspiration from the Lamborghini Revuelto and the local Honda S7, Rafik Ferrag, who also created the original P7, designed the front end of the new EV.

The eye-catching car’s back design features unique Y-shaped LED lights, including daytime running lights and a sleek light bar on top, with the main headlights sitting below.

Sleek design enthusiasts will be drawn to the car’s fastback shape and retractable rear, embodying a dynamic look that inspires excitement.

The front lights harmoniously combine with thin LED strips at the back, creating a cohesive, modern design that captivates the imagination.

Although technical details are yet to be specified, the Xpeng P7 will exclusively launch as an EV, potentially offering a driving range of up to 466hp with dual motors and a CTLC range surpassing 435 miles.

The revealed images suggest Xpeng’s new EV sedan will feature a large central infotainment screen and luxurious light purple leather seats – but as yet there’s no word on whether it will offer in-car karaoke, like the Xpeng X9.

This model could make driving easier by including a simplified vision-based advanced driver assistance system, compared to other Xpeng vehicles that include Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) technology.

The car’s dimensions haven’t been confirmed either, but it appears to be longer than a Tesla Model 3, which is set to be Xpeng’s new EV prime competitor, alongside Xiaomi’s SU7.

Online Chinese automobile site Autohome reports the new P7 would be unveiled in Q3 during the Guangzhou Auto Show.

So far, no official name has been assigned to the new model, but Chinese media suggest the company has locked in the “P7 Ultra” name.

The car is expected to be available for purchase by the end of the year, with an approximate cost of $35,000 – slightly higher than the entry-level Tesla Model 3.The post Xpeng’s new EV sedan wouldn’t look out of place in a supercar lineup appeared first on Supercar Blondie.
