The BMW concept Vision Next 100 is a jaw-dropping supercar that is meant to show how BMW imagines its next century will look in automaking.
The sleek gold car has no visible glass beyond the windscreen, and the doors open via a sensor; it looks like a reptile or an alien spaceship.
The car is actually completely self-driving and is set up so you can relax in your own living room on the road with lounge-style seats. Check out a sneak peek above.

This futuristic BMW has living skin that makes it look like it’s alive
We bet you’ve never seen a car that literally breathes before, but our very own Alex Hirschi, AKA Supercar Blondie, was lucky enough to get to see the super cool golden BMW concept Vision Next 100 with her own eyes.
The concept of the car is that this is how BMW thinks its next century of auto innovation will look. And as far as we’re concerned, it looks like it could be a real-life living thing.
Alex was allowed inside the futuristic supercar and checked out all the coolest features.
In particular, she loved the ‘live geometry’ wheel arches, which break up the sleek exterior with diamond-shaped gaps that help it expand and contract.
The fully gold-coated car has no visible glass beyond the windscreen, and the doors open in a batwing fashion using a sensor.
This looks like a lizard or a spaceship from the future
Not only do the wheel arches have that unique ‘live geometry’ feature, but the dashboard is also made up of triangular mosaic panels that shift and glow red to alert you if there are any problems.
The concept car comes with Level four autonomy, and it means it’s completely self-driving, but can be shifted in and out of self-driving mode with a retractable steering wheel.
The interior feels like a living room on wheels with lounge-style seats, perfect for relaxing while the car itself takes the wheel.
Who knows if this car is the future of BMW or if, in fact, there’s something even more futuristic on the horizon.
